This was my first time racing at Clay Pigeon, so I made the most of the practice sessions. I was really happy to finish P5 and then P3, with the 4th fastest lap of the day against some really quick drivers!

In the warm-up I finished P5 again, which gave me lots of confidence.

Qualifying didn’t go to plan. I couldn’t get the kart going, and I ended up on my own with no tow, which is really important here. The times were super close, but I finished P10 with a 44.21.

The Pre-Final was really scrappy. I worked my way up to around P6 before another kart hit me and pushed me wide, dropping me back to P13. I fought back to P11, but then the last four laps were under yellow flags after an incident, so I couldn’t make up any more places.

I first made the A Final on points, but at the last minute I was moved to the B Final on pole (I’m not sure why). However I won the B Final, so I got back into the Grand Final!

Starting P20, I had a great race and finished P11. A better qualifying could have made a big difference on the day, but that’s racing! Not a bad day, and lots to build on! 💪🏎️
