🏁 Club100 North Round 6 - PFI 🏁

Been looking forward to PFI all year and it didn’t disappoint! 🏎️

Saturday was my first ever time here and it was WET! 🌧️ Finished P8 and P9 in testing which gave me confidence, but Sunday was dry so I had to learn the track all over again! 😂

Practice was a 1:16.6, then I improved to 1:15.7 in qualifying. I got caught up battling in qualifying as started from the back!! Looking back I should have let the pack go rather than battle through, which cost me time. Then they decided to ladder the results which didnt help me as the time was good enough to be back of A or start of B but I ended up P10 in the Pre-B Final.

🔥 Pre-B: P10 ➡️ P2!

I got my head down and climbed all the way to P2, setting a 1:15.0!

Unfortunately, I then received penalties after a yellow flag situation. I slowed down, raised my hand and actually lost 3 places, so seeing my number on the penalty board was really frustrating! I understand marshalling is a tough job but to be given 2 penalties for racing on yellow even though i slowed and was gained on coming down into hairpin 1 (thats not me racing) and then i was overtaken twice and lost 3 positions ( thats not me overtaking). One penalty was removed after speaking with Race Control, but the other had to stand as the rules state cant use video footage to overturn. Without it, I would have made the A Final. 😭

🏁 B Final: P10 AGAIN!

Time to do it all again! 😂 I fought back to P2, but didn’t have the same pace to keep it. I believe there was loading and contact that cost some positions and forced wide on a occasion. Saw after race was contact warnings but no penalties, eventually finishing P6.

Really proud of my driving at a track I’d never raced before. Twice going P10 ➡️ P2 was mega! 💪

💙 BONUS: We raised £80 for @juliashousechildrenshospiceand @theloddonschool , and my basketball helmet got lots of love on @youtube @dashwraps ! 🏀😂

What a weekend! ❤️🏎️
