Club100 Round 5 – Glan-Y-Gors, Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Great to be back in a Club100 kart after my holidays and back at Glan-Y-Gors. I did well here last time so was hoping to improve again.

Practice: Spent most of it in a battle, which was good overtaking practice, but my best lap was 55.7, about 1.4 seconds off where I wanted to be.

Qualifying: After looking at the camera footage with @bradleysheppardracing , I found a few places to improve. It worked! @jackdowding_racing33 and I worked well together on track, with Jack P2 on a 54.2 and me P5 on a 54.3. My best qualifying this year and straight into the A Final!

Pre-A Final: Started P6. I gained a place by turn 2, but there was a coming together ahead at turn 3. I avoided it but had to go off track and couldn’t rejoin until everyone had passed, putting me last. I fought back to P14, then got forced wide on the last lap and finished P19. Really frustrating after such a good start.

Grand Final: Making the Grand A Final is always my goal, so I was happy to be there. Unfortunately my kart had no power and was the only one doing 55+ second laps. I couldn’t attack or defend, and Club100 acknowledged there was a problem with it.

Still managed P15. Definitely a day of what could have been, but really happy with my qualifying pace. 🏁
