It was really good to be back at TeamSport Eastleigh for the Monday night Race League. It’s always a fun track and nice to see the other cadets again.

The format was just qualifying and then the race. I didn’t go out much in qualifying and ended up P3 because I couldn’t beat my first lap time. The kart didn’t feel quite right, but that’s just how rental racing goes sometimes. So I started the race in P3.

Freddie did really well and got P1 in qualifying, and after the last Grid here he definitely deserved some luck.

I had a good start and after a couple laps I got up to P2, so then I started chasing P1. A bit later I tried to pass Freddie on the inside going up the ramp. We were side by side into the corner, but I got pushed into the tyres and dropped back to P4, so I had to try again.

There wasn’t much time left, but I had some really good battles with Ollie and Rubin and managed to get back up to P2. I just couldn’t catch Freddie before the end, but I did set a personal best lap and the second fastest lap of the track.

One day I’ll get that Track Record 🙂

Well done to everyone! Eastleigh is always a fun place to have some battles.
