🏁 DRS ROUND 7 – WHILTON MILL 🏁

This weekend was a tough one! We were so excited for Round 7, but my Dad had to go to hospital from our hotel and stay in for surgery. I was worried, but he told me to go out, enjoy it and do my best! ❤️

Practice started brilliantly with P1! 💪

Qualifying – P4

Really happy with this. The margins were so close and I was only 0.065 off pole! It showed how much progress we’re making.

Heat 1 – P4 ➡️ P2 ➡️ P20 ➡️ P12

On a wet track I got up to P2 before contact in rear pushed me off track and sent me spinning onto the grass. I had to wait for everyone to pass, then got my head down, pushed hard and made up 8 places with some really fast laps! (Faster than the top 10 but @johnyungkarting took fastest lap off me on the last lap) 🔥

Pre-Final – P14 ➡️ P4

I fought through to P4 and made a great move into P3, but again contact forced me off track as I was turned into while on the straight side by side on Wilkins. I eventually finished P14. Frustrating, but I wasn’t giving up!

Repechage Final – P1 🏆

I was completely locked in! Took the lead, pushed every lap and won by 4 seconds, putting me into the A Final! (Which was the goal for the day)

Grand Final – P20 ➡️ P13

Loads of overtakes, kept pushing and finished P13… then found out I’d won DRIVER OF THE DAY! 🏆

A weekend of what-ifs, but also two trophies and lots of progress.

Best bit? Driving straight to hospital afterwards to show Dad my trophies! ❤️
