What a fun day of karting at the South Coast Championship!
After finishing P2 in Round 1, I really wanted to get P1 this time.

I was out in the first qualifying group, which is tricky because the karts and track are still cold. It felt really good though, and I set a strong lap time. But the drivers in the later groups had warmer conditions and managed to go a little quicker, so I started P3 for the Pre A Final.

In the Pre A Final, I got a great start and moved up to P2 in the first two corners. After a few laps, I planned my move for P1, made the pass, and then pulled away lap by lap to take the win! 🥇

Starting from P1, I knew there were some really fast drivers behind me. So I thought I could be in for a defensive drive but there was a battle for second place at the start, which gave me a small gap. I kept matching the pace of P2 and then found some extra speed halfway through the race. I stretched the lead by 3 seconds and brought home the win! 🏁🥇

Super happy with the result and can’t wait for the next round!
