Well it didnt really go according to plan but got P2 in Qualifying. Missed by a whisker on P1 which I knew getting past the cadet in front would be hard as he is quick and a good defender. True to form he defended on every corner, I think he had a slow kart as it was more than normal. I saw a gap which I went for but he closed the gap as I got there and I got the lead but probably was only 40% along side. No Marshall gave a penalty straight away but I heard that the cadet was waving his had and pointing at Marshalls and pointing at me and then they brought me in a couple of laps later. Deserved it but all hand gestures should be a DQ. Lessons learned to be more patient though and the time will come!
