I had an amazing time at Whilton Mill taking part in the Club 100 Academy days!
Day 1 was all about wet weather driving. The track was really slippery and lots of karts were spinning off — including me! I spun at the now Freeman Famous Turn 5, but I learned a lot about car control and staying calm in tricky conditions.
Day 2 started a bit difficult. The first two sessions didn’t go to plan for different reasons, but in the third session I finally found some space on track and managed to set my personal best lap time. In the fourth session, the rain came back, and I was really happy to improve my wet lap time too.
It was such a cool experience racing alongside other talented cadets and seeing some friends again from last year’s BIKC National Final. Everyone pushed each other to be better, and I learned so much over the two days.
I’m really proud to say that I passed the Academy Day and I can’t wait to compete in this year’s competition, both North and South.
A big thank you to Bradley Sheppard Racing for all the support and encouragement. I’m excited for the challenge ahead!
