Today was my 2nd North race with Club100. I went in hopeful, but looking at my group it was full of really strong, talented cadets. Was actually awesome to be in that group!

I finished P9 in qualifying which I was really happy with, but with the drying track they laddered us with other the groups which dropped me to P15, which was fair. I knew I had the pace to climb back up in the pre final.

In the pre A final I made my way up to P9 before disaster struck. On the last lap a sudden burst of hail hit T1 just as I got there and I spun into the grass. Then others behind spun as well and I got stuck and was last to be recovered as blocked in, which put me to the back of the grid. 😔

I was pretty gutted, but it’s a lesson learnt to adapt better in those conditions. My goal this year was to make an A final and I did that today ✅.

Lots of positives with a couple of negatives, but I’m leaving knowing I had the pace and could compete with some of the top cadets.
