What a rollercoaster of a day! 🤯🔥

The day started almost perfectly!

🏎️ Heat 1: Qualified P1 and won by 12 seconds! 🥇

🏎️ Heat 2: Another P1 and won by 7 seconds! 🥇

🏎️ Heat 3: P1 again and won by over 5 seconds! 🥇

🏎️ Semi-Final: Started P1 and took another win by over 7 seconds! 🥇

4 RACES, 4 WINS! 💯🔥

Then came the FINAL… 😬

The groups merged and the super-fast Corey took pole, putting me P2. Unfortunately, I also drew the slowest kart of the day! (Which already had 2 complaints so shouldn’t of been in the fleet for kart selection)

As a top 3 we had plan was to stick together and qualify for the nationals, but that disappeared at the first corner.

I got dive-bombed, hit and pushed wide, dropping from P2 to P4! 💔 (lesson learnt)

I fought back before finally making a move into P3. But then came a 5 second penalty (for that move) with just 7 laps remaining!

Somehow, I turned a 1-second gap into 8 seconds by the chequered flag! So my penalty didn’t affect my position.

NATIONAL FINALS QUALIFIED! 🇬🇧🏆

I’m gutted how the final went (for a few reasons) after such an amazing day. Sometimes racing doesn’t go to plan, but you just have to keep going.

Massive well done to Corey and everyone racing!
